Citric Acid

It is a weak organic and naturally occurred in citrus fruits. Apart from using
as cleaning solution for membrane filters in waste water and water treatment
it is widely used as an acidifier, as a flavouring agent for Food and beverage
industries. Citric acid being excellent chelating agent, it works efficiently by
chelating the metals in hard water. Citric acid is also an active ingredient for
bathroom and kitchen cleaning solutions. In cosmetic industries it is used as
an acidulant in creams, gels, shampoo soaps etc.
