Anthracite

Anthracite is the most metamorphosed type of coal in which the carbon
content is between 92 to 98%. Anthracite is referred as hard compact
variety of coal has a submetallic luster. Chemically anthracite may be
considered as a transition stage between ordinary bituminous coal and
graphite. Anthracite filter media are filtration materials for turbidity and
ss removal. Since the specific gravity is lighter than that of filter sand, it is
widely used in combination with filter sand in dual-media filtration to consist
reverse grain layers after backwashing. It also has high resistance to various
chemicals and higher physical strength so thus it is commonly used for
industrial water purification. We can offer our clients two different grades
namely Non premium and premium anthracite.
